Our machines and systems bond and encapsulate the components of the Battery Packs.

Bonding and sealing electric batteries

Worldwide, the electromobility market will continue to grow in the  coming years. As a result, more and more electric and hybrid vehicles  will be registered. During development, the focus was on lightweight  construction and high safety. The technology used here is also used in  bicycles and buses, for example. The applications are therefore very  diverse, which is why high demands are also placed on the production and  processing of the battery modules.
The batteries used in electric cars have different components that  have to be joined and glued together. Different methods are used for  prismatic cells than for cylindrical ones. Depending on The  requirements, different assembly adhesives are used to meet the high  standards.

The processing of these materials requires great precision and  know-how, which we have built up through many years of experience in  bonding and sealing. Our systems apply the adhesives and sealants  precisely - whether in beads, dots or for potting a mould.

Cell manufacturing

Soft, pouch, prismatic and cylindrical cells are processed in cell production. Epoxies, silicones and PUs, among others, are used for potting and application of dots and beads.

Our Vecdos series is used for this application.

Modul Manufacturing

Heat management is very important in module production. This is because a module must be bonded in such a way that the heat generated is absorbed and dissipated. This is made possible, among other things, by the thermally conductive gap fillers.

One advantage of the Battery Assembly Adhesives, in addition to their temperature resistance, is their high ductility.

The Vecdos series is very well suited for bonding and potting materials used in module production.

Battery packs

Liquid gap fillers and battery assembly adhesives are also used in battery packs to enable optimum thermal management.

Beads are often laid during the bonding and potting of the battery packs. Accurate application of the beads is important so that the optimum result is achieved during grouting. In order to glue the modules in the pack, the bottom is often grouted.

Our products for the battery packs and integration of the modules into the pack are: Conti Foam, Vecdos eOne and Vecods eTwin.
